What to do before your visit

• Rinse gently with warm water.
• Hold a cold compress on the outside of your cheek to help with swelling.
• If a tooth is knocked out, pick it up by the top, not the root, keep it moist in milk, and call us right away.
• Save any broken pieces of a tooth or crown and bring them with you.

If you have swelling that makes it hard to breathe or swallow, a high fever, or bleeding that will not stop, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
